About Me
With a heart rooted in nature and a deep love for nurturing growth—both in people and in the earth—I bring a grounded, creative spirit to every yoga class I lead. My journey as a yoga teacher is shaped by my passion for landscape design and my joy in being a mother to four wonderful boys. Whether I'm introducing new students to yoga or guiding experienced practitioners to reconnect with their breath and bodies, my intention is always to create a space that feels safe, inspired, and full of life.
I first stepped into a yoga class in 2000, but it wasn’t until a few years later—at a YMCA class—that the seed truly began to grow. I didn’t know the poses or even what downward dog was, but a kind older gentleman next to me gently guided me through. His warmth and encouragement kept me coming back, and planted the very first spark of my desire to teach.
My consistent practice began in 2009, when I was pregnant with my first child and found my way to prenatal yoga. It became my sanctuary. I practiced throughout all four of my pregnancies, and yoga has been a steady presence in my life ever since—over 15 years and counting. In 2024, I completed my 200-hour teacher training to deepen my practice and share what I’ve learned along the way.
Just as a well-tended garden flourishes with care and intention, I believe our minds and bodies thrive when we give them time, space, and compassion. My classes often draw from the rhythms of nature, and I love weaving mindfulness, gentle movement, and a sense of wonder into each practice.
When I’m not on the mat or sketching garden layouts, you’ll find me barefoot in the dirt, laughing with my boys, or soaking up the quiet magic of the outdoors. Whether you're brand new to yoga or looking to deepen your practice, I’d be honored to grow alongside you.

“Kourtney is a natural born yoga instructor who puts a lot of thought into creating an environment where all feel safe, supported, and if desired, challenged. After a few months of taking her class regularly my body feels much stronger and more flexible. I am hooked on the sense of warmth and community she has created in her classes.” Kate B.
